As a fragile post-conflict society, Colombia is prioritising peace and reconciliation in its foreign policy, including its foreign cultural policy. On the road to this and to economic maturity, the country can use its foreign cultural policy as a tool to gain greater credibility and a more prominent place at the international table. In 2020, Colombia became the 37th member of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
