Universality-as-multiplicity
The current world politics faces major challenges. Is the principle of equality enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) still valid? What is the impact of identity politics and populism? Formalised by the UK's Brexit in June 2016 and the election of Donald J. Trump as US president five months later, racist nationalist regimes in the Philippines, Turkey, Austria and elsewhere are following suit. Even in Scandinavia - once a model of liberal tolerance - similar tendencies can be observed.
