Bernd Reiter ist Professor für Politikwissenschaft an der Texas Tech University, USA. Bevor er in die Wissenschaft ging, arbeitete er als NGO-Berater in Brasilien und Kolumbien. Der Schwerpunkt seiner Arbeit liegt auf Demokratie und Staatsbürgerschaft.
