The Role of the European Union
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is the most comprehensive and at the same time the most ambitious agenda in the world to date. As part of this agenda, the goals open up avenues for culture to flourish. Culture also contributes to the success of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The European Union is committed to implementing the Agenda - and has much to contribute, but also much to learn. The study provides an overview of the EU's progress and explores potential policy priorities. Where does the EU stand five years after the Agenda was adopted? With only ten years to go until the SDGs deadline, where is the EU heading? How can the EU and its member states maximise their impact? Where should they focus their efforts?
L'Agenda 2030 pour le développement durable est à ce jour l'agenda le plus complet et le plus ambitieux au monde. Les objectifs ouvrent à la culture des voies d'épanouissement dans le cadre de cet agenda. La culture contribue également au succès des Objectifs de développement durable (ODD). L'Union européenne s'est engagée à mettre en œuvre l'agenda - elle a beaucoup à apporter, mais aussi beaucoup à apprendre. L'étude donne un aperçu des progrès réalisés par l'UE et examine les priorités politiques potentielles. Où en est l'UE cinq ans après l'adoption de l'agenda ?
