Serbia is named the cross-road of Europe: with a rich tradition spanning many centuries and cultures as well as Belgrade with its rich Yugoslav cultural infrastructure. However, Serbian external cultural policy faces many challenges including a lack of funding and communicating a new identity that would promote the national interest while also embracing ethnic and cultural differences.
