Country Report
Australia's greatest asset in external cultural policy is its global reputation in international higher education. It has the highest per capita concentration of international students in the developed world. As a global middle power and a major epicentre of the Southern Hemisphere, Australia also enjoys an excellent reputation for its sun-drenched beaches and ancient Aboriginal culture. Australia's external cultural policy is closely linked to its economic interests. Given its geostrategic position, Australia should pay more attention to cultural diplomacy as well as economics.
