Indonesia is the country with the fourth largest population in the world and the largest Muslim population. While it is gaining in economic and political importance, it is also undergoing rapid social and cultural change. This is accompanied by considerable tensions, conflicts and systemic risks, but also harbours new potential. How can Germany become more involved in bilateral cultural relations? Which topics are of interest to both countries? How can bilateral cooperation promote interreligious dialogue and prevent radicalisation?
